Smart UPS 1500's baterry still cant charges after replace the battery.

I have a Smart-UPS 1500. After i do a battery replacement. The status at the battery bar still show no charging and always blinking... i also had do the self test and also disconnect the battery and direct on the UPS but the UPS still cant on ... Is that mean the UPS also faulty already??


pls Help if anyone hav face this problem before...

Alex,

I would recommend that you to perform a manual runtime calibration because sometimes after replacing the old batteries in the Smart UPS, the device needs to be told that there are new batteries present and even after replacement the UPS still assume the characteristics of the old battery.

thank for your help. i have one more question. If i had tested to power on the UPS without the battery but cant on . Is that mean the ups faulty also ? i want to make confirmd about this.

APC Smart UPS SUA series UPS should come online when it is plugged in even without the battery attached. Please be sure that the UPS is receiving normal AC Power from the wall when you try to power on it without the battery.

hmm...If the UPS does not come online when there is power from the wall without the battery, then there should be something wrong the UPS circuitry. In this case, the Smart UPS SUAXX UPS should come online and indicate flashing Replace Battery Light if the battery is not connected.

And also let us know the exact Model and Serial number of the UPS. You can find these details on a white bar code sticker at the rear of the unit. Did you perform the manual runtime calibration as Instructed above? If so, are the battery bar lights still flashing?
