Smart-UPS 1400
Hi,
I have a question if there is a way to make Smart-UPS 1400 (pretty old one - mfg date 1998) to have 50Hz line frequency instead of 60Hz?
Here is my problem:
The UPS itself works fine. But when power is down - I do stop the UPS. Meanwhile sometimes I need to do cold start (to check something on the server) and switch it on (press ON for 3 sec and release). When doing such cold start it defaults to 60Hz instead of 50Hz (as I live in EU).
When AC power is back in the wall socket - UPS reads what is in the socket and changes line frequency to 50Hz. I consider this a bug as UPS was made in Ireland but somehow when cold starts it defaults to 60Hz as in Europe we use 50.
Here are UPS F/W details:
UPS manufacture date: 06/23/98
UPS serial number: GS9826811475
Firmware revision: 70.9.I
UPS model: SMART-UPS 1400
On the label it says Smart-UPS 1400I NET
So this seems to be international version - hence why it defaults to 60Hz?
