Hi,
I ordered 2 Smart-UPS 1000 some weeks ago for some refugee project. But until now I had no net there, so I couldn't access the server via SSH and such.
Anyways, I installed the package today on the Ubuntu 16.04 server and changed the settings in order to accepting the USB cable as UPSTYPE.
But then I wanted to perform a selftest but nope, I will get following message
I don't know how to run a self test on your UPS
or your UPS does not support self test.
Did I miss something or does the UPS have no selftest? I am pretty sure, that some cheaper UPS from you have such option but this one doesnt
Regards

Hi,
On 7/19/2016 10:13 PM, Bill said:What is the exact model number of the Smart-UPS?
I will check it, when I visit the refugeehouse, so I hope on this weekend...

Yes, I know that since the Smart-UPS SUA750RMI1U I use for another house has such options in the SSH shell, and I can run the selftests whenever I want via the shell
Regards
PS:
I guess there's some other problem:

Peter,
What is the exact model number of the Smart-UPS?
You will find the information on the bar code sticker on the back of the unit.
Any Smart-UPS that has a USB connection by default will run a self-test on start-up and every 14 days there after unless programmed not to.
