Hello Everyone,
Ever since we starting using PowerChute 9.5 we can't enable SNMP v1 as it says "Port is already in use. Select another".
We can't change the port we are using because we use the standard SNMP (port 161) for other SNMP Agents such as Dell OpenManage (Server Hardware) and the software we use to pull this data from the servers (Solarwinds N-Central) will only allow one port per device.
This works fine with Powerchute 9.2 and below so it's not like it hasn't been able to do this before and is clear that it's not a problem on our end.
I will note that I have logged with support and while they have been able replicate the issue (APC Case no [ ref:_00DA0abSm._5001HlJFZn:ref ]) its been other a month now with no progress from the development team.
I am keen to hear from anyone experiencing the issue or are we the only ones who use SNMP these days?

This change was made at the request of end user's who wanted SNMP communication available for all supported OS and the ability to select SNMP port. Along with added SNMP availability to all supported OS security has been enhance with the addition of SNMP v3. Also, when Microsoft released Windows server 2012 they announced the depreciation of SNMP
Based on user's requests, the need to enhance security and Microsoft's depreciation of SNMP SNMP was added as a feature to the PowerChute Agent.
Since the release we have heard from Windows users that cannot select an alternative port. We are planning to address this issue in a future release but at this time no release date is available.
In the mean time if the enhance security is not needed you can run PCBE 9.2.1 or 9.0.4 or there is a work around posted here

Hi Bill, the work around listed isn't going to work for our monitoring solution. Is there a location where we can download old versions of the software?
