Hello, I am trying to deploy APC PowerChute Personal Edition 3.0 to multiple XP Pro computers silently with the msiexec /quiet command. It installs quietly just fine, except at the end of the install the MSI file it runs two actions that pull up a Data Collection Splash Screen and the System Tray icon before the install can be marked as “complete.” It basically requires user intervention to hit OK or close which then the msiexec then confirms it is complete.
This is from the Install Log File:
Action start 13:11:30: LaunchSystray.
Action ended 13:11:30: LaunchSystray. Return value 1.
Action start 13:11:30: LaunchDisplay.
Action ended 13:11:30: LaunchDisplay. Return value 1..
Is there any way from the command line install to set properties to suppress these two actions (LaunchDisplay, LaunchSystray) ?
As of right now I just have the script to kill the process after 30-60 seconds after the install, but I would rather just not have these actions pop up at all.
Thanks!

I personally haven't tried doing a silent install on PowerChute Personal Edition. I believe this is not a supported configuration but let us keep this open to see if there are other members in the forum who have tried this.
