Dear All,
I have a cutomer whose Silcon 40kVA UPS was reportedly not coming out of automatic bypass. On visiting the customer, & seeing overload conditions reported in the log, I sent the UPS to manual bypass & shutdown the UPS. From there I did a systematic total power on procedure ( Step 1 -Q001 ON; Step 2 -Start Charging DC Capacitors; Step 3 - Closing of MCB - Capacitor Voltages shown to be 410 V on panel byth is time; Step 4 - Power ON). UPS goes initially to a normal operation, but shows the load as 158%. After about 20 seconds the UPS goes to automatic Bypass. On observing the Error log thereafter the relevant parts as follows:
Synchronization Error
Inverter Current Limiter Active
Overload-Load is over 100%
Battery MCB is off
Q003 on
Q002 off
.
.
What could be the problem ? If it is TSM related, which part or board of the TSM is faulty, since I am constrained with spares as well.
Thanking in advance,
Naleendra

If there really isn't an actual overload you should call into your local APC Customer Service office for tech support/Service Dispatch. There are to many variables that could be the issue with this unit.
