Shutting down / rebooting Hyper V VM s

Hello All

We have a client with following setup

APC Smart UPS 3000 VA with AP9631 NMC (Firmware 5.x)

APC PCNS (version 3.x) installed on the Hyper V server on Windows server 2012

APC PCNS (Version 3.x) installed on one of the VM s.This is a windows server 2008 based VM

When the Hyper V server is booted up after a shutdown initiated by APC NMC (due to power failures) only the VM with APC PCNS installed is not getting booted up automatically. VM is configured to boot up when the physical server is up , under Hyper v settings.

1. Are there any setting on APC PCNS that we need to configure in order for the VM to boot properly ?

2. When it comes to Hyper V VM s is APC s recommendation is to use Hyper V guest  start/stop actions instead of using APC PCNS?

Dhanushka,

PCNS does not have any configuration / setting for starting up a OS. To shutdown the Hyper-v VMs please review Kbase FA159689
