I want to make sure that our vmware cluster, vill close down correctly, in case our UPS, A smart UPS 30, if it runs out of battery. After reading the guide on how to install PCNS, on a VMA, server i setup this, but found out that it only shuts down the hosts.
My problem is that there is no intrgration with vcenter so you cannot really set a shutdown order. This as i see it can leed to the mass migration away from the first host that is beeing shutdown, over to a second host, that is also in the middle of a shutdown. As i see it this is BAD, and could potential lead to corruption.
Question is how do i correctly setup powercute, or any other program to close down the vmware cluster.
