Dear All,
For testing before deployment for my customer. I am using 01 UPS SUA1000RMI2U with NMC AP9619.
I installed PCNS v3.0.1 on my PC running windows 7, but my customer server is running windows server.
So can you help me how to create and apply the shutdown command file for windows 7, windows server and linux.
I did not find the method how to create this file in the PCNS installing and configuring guide.
Hope will get your kindly help soon!
Sincerely!

Hi,
You should install PCNS on each system that you would like to have shutdown by the UPS. PCNS includes the needed shutdown command for the supported OS. So, if you install on Windows 7 PCNS is command that OS down. If you install on Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 PCNS will command that OS down. PCNS also is compatible with Redhat and SuSE Linux. You should check the compatibility chart to determine if your OS is supported.
As for help with writing command files, there is a knowledge base document FA159586 and FA159559 that should help.
