Hi!
I'd like to know if it's possible to shutdown the UPS after windows shutdown.
At the moment I'm using Powerchute personal edition where i have set to shutdown the pc after 1 minute.
The problem is that windows shutdown to the "shutdown the pc" page ('cause the pc is in AT mode), but then the UPS stay ON and stil beeping every 30 seconds.
Is it possible to make the UPS shutdown after a known time and keep it ready to get ON when the AC is back?

HI,
I'm running Windows XP pro.
Powerchute says me that it's impossible to activate hibernation. In fact in the ControlPanel, under the enrgy configuration windows, there is no Hibernation or suspension tab.
However...mybe i was a little hasty 🙂
After a couple of minutes the UPS shutdown correctly.
Sorry but in another UPS I used, there was an explicit parameter to set "shutdown UPS after system shutdown in XXX min"
thank you!

Hi,
When PowerChute Personal Edition is installed it enables hibernation on system so when shutdown is triggered the OS should hibernate. Once the OS has been commanded down a signal is sent to the UPS to shut it down. The UPS should wait approximately 2 minutes and then shut down. If that is not happening then something must be either stopping the communications or preventing the UPS from powering off.
What version of Windows are you running and what is the model of the UPS?
