Hi all,
Have been trying to log in through CLI to capture logs of UPS through serial port using USB to serial ( APC rj45 cable provided).
I had success in connecting and upgrading firmware with the wizard.
CLI seems to be connecting but not showing anything even upon pressing enter a few times.
Model of UPS is SRT3000RMXLI
Programs used: hypertrm, teraterm, putty
Settings:
Baud rate:2400,4800,9600,19200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
Appreciate anyone who could help. Thanks!

Since this UPS has an LCD, the last ten faults and events can be retrieved from the display. Unfortunately, accessing the network card or installing PowerChute Business Edition on a supported OS will let you know more about the UPS and will provide more logging features.

Hi @RMAmeerul
Thank you for reaching out to the SE Community, my name is Jon and I will assist you with this query.
By any chance, is there a network management card installed on the UPS? The reason I asked is that, if you'd like to communicate to the UPS via the CLI, it needs to have a network management card, and for you to connect to the card using the supplied cable.

HI @JonPro
Thanks for the reply,
There is a network card installed on site, which we are unable to retrieve to test due to sensitivity and I understand this part on connecting to CLI through NMC.
I think my real question would be whether the UPS saves logs internally and whether am I able to retrieve it using any of the port that is installed on the UPS itself? Eg. Rj45 serial port (used for firmware upgrade) or USB port.
Thanks!
