Good morning,
I'm having another issue with the Symmetra PX 80 Static Switch:
An 80 [kW] needs a replacement static switch. Can we swap out the old for a new while the unit is running, or do we need to put it into external bypass? I cannot find any information in the manuals about the static switch, let alone detailed instructions as to how to replace it while the unit is still running.
Thank you.

Hello,
I found this information in our knowledge base. If you have further questions on the specifics, I'd contact 3 phase technical support to avoid a problem during the procedure.
Static Switch Modules on the Symmetra PX 80 and PX 100 may be hot swapped. This procedure is not possible on the Symmetra PX 40 and ISX 20K All-in-one.
In some cases, the static bypass feature may still be available even though the SSW is reporting as failed. If the alarm is one of the three listed below, then static bypass is available through the Power view (on MIM 17.0 >).
1. Overload in PSU (Severity Level 2)
2. Fan_Fault (Severity Level 2)
3. Heatsink over temp (Severity Level 2)
