SY48K48H-PD AND AP9613 INTEGRATION

Hello Guys,

I´m needing some advice on the mechanics of AP9613 and Symmetra PX.

We are currently working on a project with a SY48K48H-PD and the customer wants an external mechanical bypass to be able to completely remove the UPS from the circuit if necessary. The transference must be closed type, so the load must be transferred without  interruption.

Our design team tried to develop some kind of interlocking using external automation and the "online" / "bypass" signals through the AP9613 output contacts, but we always get to a situation where either is possible to overlap the inverter and mains, or to risk load drop on bad operation.

Actually we are wondering if there is a way to inhibit transfer to the inverter (online mode) while the external Q3 and Q2 are closed. I know there is an option to shut down the UPS based on the AP9613 input contacts, but does it keep the UPS offline while the signal is present (NO or NC configured), or it only shuts down the system and accepts turn load on after this.

Another option we were thinking about is to use the contacts from the external Q1/Q2/Q3 with the MBP Interface Board. In J2 terminal block there are contacts for for Q1, Q2 and Q3, and even for "OK to Operate Q2 and Q3" LED´s. Is it possible to use it in the PD end models (like SY48K48H-PD) as they already have built in Q1, Q2 and Q3?

Any consideration and opinion is welcome!

Hello again guys,

We decided to use only AP9613 contacts to not be "invasive" on the UPS.

Does anyone have experience with the Turn Off command targeted to the UPS? I would like to know if it keeps the UPS offline while the signal is present (NO or NC configured), or it only shuts down the system and accepts turn load on after this.

Thanks in advance!
