Hello,
I have an SUA1500 that everyday at around 5 AM, the swf comes on. I am monitoring the unit using Power Business Shutdown Edition. These events happen a few times and then goes away. Obviously, since it happens at 5 am, I cannot tell if the red LED on the back of the unit comes on.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

You could get an outlet tester for around $6. It has three LEDs and it will light up accordingly to indicate the wiring.
Neutral overload does not happen other than on a 208/120 3ph circuit with shared neutral serving primarily 120v IT loads.

Is there a programmed routine that takes place around the time you get the SWF error?

Well, SWF indicates that one, or a combination of 3 things happen.
1. Overloaded neutral (i.e. live voltage on the neutral wire)
2. Reversed polarity (hot/neutral)
3. No ground present.
Given that it does not happen all the time it would most likely be the overloaded neutral. Where do you use the unit? what kind of atmosphere and equipment are nearby? Is this in an apartment?
