first UPS internal battery are dead ,change it with new one but at test UPS @load 1000W,disconnect main

UPS work 8 minute  good after that give continuous beep and battery led flash

what is problem ,control boar or what

please advise

before test put UPS in charging more than 8 hours

You also need to verify the reported runtime for the 1000W load. Did it report 8 minutes and run for 8 minutes or just run for 8 minutes and report more?

I went here http://www.apc.com/resource/include/ups_runtime_chart.cfm?base_sku=SURTD5000XLI&family_id=163 and a 1000W load on this UPS should give more like 36 minutes.

Then you probably want to follow the manual runtime calibration outlined in the knowledge base. Remove any communication cables and maintain a 30% load that does not fluctuate +/- 5% and make sure the UPS is charged fully. Then just remove AC power and let the UPS run until it turns off. I can't tell if when you did your calibration you did it via a software command or not.

I am not sure what you mean by "when I do firmware upgrade."

These UPSs don't have field upgradeable firmware and SURTD does not support any hyperterminal modification. Is it possible the batteries are not good or of high quality?  This is assuming between the tests, you've let the batteries charge. I know you said you let them charge the first time.
