I am tempted to by the UPS as shown in the attached picture. I have tried researching this model on the net with very little success. I did find a user manual on an APC site, but no other references. Other than that file, the APC site does not recognise the model, so i suspect it is discontinued. This doesnt particularly concern me though if the major components are replaceable eg the controller board etc.
I would like to find out more about the batteries. My information lists the batteries as model SURT48XLBP, but the current pictures of that model battery dont match what i assume to be the batteries in the picture. Again the model may have been redesigned which is not a problem if replacement batteries are available, and the spec of the batteries is known.
I would appreciate any thoughts on the purchase.

I think there may be some confusion. The picture that you have shown looks like the SURTA2000XLI and the SURTA48XLBP battery packs. There was no 20kVA system, the highest the RT models have gone is 10kVA, which keeps it in the single-phase realm. That picture is of a single-phase setup, as the UPS + batteries aren't wide enough for what you'd generally see in a larger (3kVA XLI or higher) system.
