Hello - I have a smart ups RT 10,000 unit and this morning it began to complain about batteries. The unit has an internal batt pack and 2 external packs with 4 batts in each one. Unfortunately, I cant seem to figure out which battery its complaining about. There is nothing in the software that I can find. I updated the firmware on the network card to 3.7.2 but it looks pretty much the same. It is reporting plenty of run time so it must think it has some batteries.
I am not an expert on these devices and cant seem to find any direction. I would appreciate a nudge in the right direction. I have already reseated all the connections and done a careful visual inspection. Not sure what to do next........... I don thtink I can update the internal firmware - can i? its at HW REV A10

you could get us the event.txt and data.txt from the network management card and post them here so we can take a look and figure out what is going on.
[here are instructions on how to do that|http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=9321] - you can remove any private information from them if you want before posting.
also, from the UPS tab in the management card interface, please tell us the first couple digits of the serial number (ex: IA0952) and UPS firmware version.
