We have a SUDP4000I that refuses to run on a generator which has a good quality output (other newer APC Smart UPS'es run fine on it).

The lights oscillator between charging and running on battery every few secs

The voltages the generator outputs are within the tolerances of the UPS and all looks good in the Powerchute software.

Are there any settings we can change in this unit, e.g. frequency or voltage sensitivity, to make is happy with this generator? In Powerchute most of the settings that might be relevant are greyed out?

Any tips please?
