SUA3000I - Blown on Power-Up
Hello All,
I've got a rather disturbing issue with a 3kva UPS that we've sent to a customer in Greece, any help would be sincerely appreciated.
The customer received 2 units, both SUA3000I'. He reports that having plugged in the first unit and it powered it on perfectly, he went to connect the battery on the second system before powering it up. However when it was connected to the mains a loud bang was heard and smoke came from the 'motherboard'.
Could anyone shed any light on what could have blown in such a circumstance? I would have assumed that it would have had overload protection throughout and been adequately fused. I can't understand how it's blown the board.
