I recall one SUA or is it just a black case SU that would be subject to the problem where the perodic test failed to detect dead batteries (test with a minimal load) and would eventually drop the load. Was it a black case SU or is there a SUA (more specifically, is the SUA2200RM3UXL) subject to this problem?
Thanks a million,
Jeff

I don't think any Smart UPS is 100% immune to this. I think older generation "SU" models may have suffered the most from this. Following that, SUA is not immune as I said but much better at handling the situation. SUA models also will not run another self test if the replace battery LED is already lit.
FYI for our current generation SMT/SMX, they are also much less likely to have this type issue due to their form of "bypass" in green mode, but even on those, I would not tell you it could NEVER happen depending on the situation.
So, each generation provides as many improvements as possible. ![]()
