SUA1500i Will Not Power On
Hi,
I have a 10 year-old SmartUPS 1500 (SUA1500i). The battery failed about 6 months ago and as the UPS was not needed at that time I powered it off, left it connected to utility power but removed and recycled the battery. I am now looking to get a replacement battery but thought that it was worth checking that the unit will start. However, when I try to start the UPS i get no response at all (no lights, beeps, etc..)
Has the UPS failed or is this due to the fact that there is no battery connected ? I don't want to pay to get a new battery only to find that the device has failed... 🙂
