Hello all,
After numerous searches and a ton of research done, im still at a loss as to why this is happening. I imagine it is because of the load the Air Conditioner takes up. It DID NOT do this during the winter.
I bought this rack mount apc just after the new year and it has been working very well up until i started turning my AC on for the spring/summer. I have been doing local troubleshooting with it and even with NO LOAD it still clicks back and forth between battery and online. Im assuming that after the summer and i do not use my AC, it should be back to normal.
I have 150 amp service in my house and I have tried to plug the APC in a 20-amp circuit by itself and it still clicks while the AC is on. Every once in a while, it can regain its posture but when the AC shuts off (after it reaches the designated temp) and then back on, it clicks again. When the dryer AND AC is on, it never regains itself.
I would be more than happy to try anything that anyone would suggest. Please ask of any more info that would help diagnose this.
Thank you so much.
D.J.

Very simple issue, the startup current for the AC is causing the mains voltage to drop momentarily. Reduce the sensitivity on the UPS should do it.
