UPS SUA1500RM, when unplug the power cable it switches to the battery, BUT IT WORKS only about 2 minutes and then does not give out a power to the load and all leads blinking in pairs going down then up.
1. battery is OK, tested
2. does not depend on load (50W or 100W or 200W)
3. Reset button pushed when UPS off and the turned on - does no help
4. software does not detect UPS using USB or COM

Any sugestions?

What version of our software are you trying to run with the SUA unit and with what operating system?

Are you using the APC 940-0024 serial cable? Have you tried testing this without the software cable attached at all?

Do you have any accessory/network cards installed in the SmartSlot of the UPS?

The symptom you are describing with the sequential LEDs means that the UPS has been shut down remotely through software or an optional accessory card, so lets try to narrow down the issue. Please make sure that your serial port is enabled and working on the computer then try connecting via hyperterminal/terminal to the UPS with the following settings: 2400 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, flow control is Xon/Xoff. When you have done this try hitting +"Shift-Y"+. You should get "SM" in response. Then hit +"Shift-R"+, this should return "Bye" and you can close hyperterminal.
