SUA1000XL Replace Battery Light Stays lit after installing good battery

I have a SUA1000XL that I have tried a known working battery in and the "Replace Battery Light" is still lit and won't go away. I've looked at the board that runs all of the circuitry and nothing looks burnt to the naked eye and I couldn't smell anything burnt. Replace battery light originally came on I and tried a different known working battery to try and fix and it didn't. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong with this UPS. I would like to try and fix it and get it working again. Thanks!

i assume you have turned the unit on/off or tried to do a self test to clear the replace battery LED? the UPS, by default, does a self test on start up.

let us know.

Yes I have turned the unit off and back on. I have even unplugged it and left it off for a while and then plugged it in and turned it on. Still no luck. Thanks!

okay so you confirmed that some how, the UPS has ran on battery for some amount of time? i am only saying incase the self test was disabled on start up some how, we'd have to issue one manually. letting the unit sit for a while wouldnt really help.

if you havent, try holding down test until the online LED blinks and it goes on to battery. if it still doesnt clear the indicator, it'd have to think the voltage drop on the battery isnt good or something because i've never seen a replace battery LED on with no apparently cause and it just being faulty 😕

I tried what you had mentioned and then tried another working battery and it fixed the problem. I think it must have been the battery even though it was showing that the battery had good voltage like 25V. Thanks for your help!!!
