SUA 1000i disconnected battery?

Hi ,

the red light is blinking every about two seconds.
The battery is connected and the protection on the back is secure!
If I disconnenct it from the power outlet the UPS is shutting down.

Could you please help me?

Thank you

EDIT

some times I manage to get rid of the red light but it blinks again after a while.

The LED that is flashing on your UPS is the replace battery LED, is this correct?

Yes .

Are there any other LED/ indicator that is lit up?

Yes the online LED.

If you are seeing a flashing replace battery LED, it means that the unit fails to detect the battery and this is accompanied by some chirping sound coming from the UPS.

Yes there is a beep.Sometimes it stops and it starts again in random time.

Do you have a spare UPS of the same model? We can swap the batteries to see if the issue clears.

No I haven't .

Have you tried unplugging the UPS while it is online? If you did, what happened to the unit and the load? There are cases wherein by just replacing the battery the issue clears but for some it ends up on UPS replacement.

I have replaced the battery and everything is back to normal!!!!!

I have replaced ONLY one battery because the other one seems to be ok,for the moment.
It has enought "Ah" for now.

Is there any problem by replacing only one battery? Is it possible the old one to damage the new?

Thank you!

We always recommend replacing all/ both batteries since if you have an old/ bad battery and you've combined it with a new one, it will affect the new one.
