APC Back-UPS ES 700VA/405W Power-Saving BE700G-GR Compatible with winXP 64?

Hello, i want to purchase the UPS APC Back-UPS ES, 700VA/405W Power-Saving BE700G-GR model, and i want to know if it is compatible with windows xp 64 bit.

i have an amd 64 dual core processor, and windowsxp 64 bit installedon it, will the software run on it, are they compatible>?

i need this to shut down the workstation before the power of the battery runs out , safely...

i currently own an
UPS APC BACK ES 400VA, 230V and i m very plase with it, but since it cannot shutdown my workstation before it s power runs out of batteries, it s not really usefull... btw, is it possible to make this model shutdown the workstation soemhow? allthough i doubt it since there is no communication between it and the workstation :((
