Hi,
We are in Mexico and we need to power an SRT2200XLI 230VAC UPS.
UPS Inputs are L, N and G.
We have 230VAC 60Hz three phase line, with 120VAC between phase and Neutral, and 230VAC between phases.
Can we connect a SRT2200XLI 230VAC UPS using 2 phases?
Thank you for your help,
Manuel

Hi Manuel,
In typical 3 wire L-N-G environments the neutral normally carries current back to the source and is usually connected to ground at the main electrical panel, and also at the final step-down transformer of the supply. As such, care must be taken that the neutral conductor never rises to a high voltage with respect to local ground. Connecting the L-N-G input of the UPS to a 2P+G supply would result in having to connect the UPS neutral to either L1 or L2 of the supply circuit, but using the live would still not substitute the function of neutral, so connecting this UPS to a 2P+N supply is not recommended or approved.
