SRT2200RMXLA is/isn't connected to battery pack

We have an SRT2200RMXLA and 4 battery packs feeding our phone system. One screen says Battery Pack1, RBC2 is Disconnected. There is a red light blinking between the batteries in the 1st battery pack. Everything is connected in the back and front. When I scroll through the main screens, The light goes out and it doesn't beep. I disconnected the battery cartridges and reconnected them. I don't know if....

1. the second battery cartridge is not sending a signal that it is connected.

2. If I need to disconnect the cartridges in the front and back and wait for a certain length of time.

3. recycle the unit. Prefer not to since it will cause our phone server and phones to go down until they hopefully come up.

Hi @captstent ,

First off, we take into consideration the age of batteries if it already reached its limit. Our recommended lifecycle for such batteries are 3-5 years. If the age of your batteries, both internal of UPS and battery packs, reached the EOL age, then you may need to replace them.

To verify if the battery pack 1, RBC2 is truly faulty, we suggest to swap it to other position on the UPS. It may be on the battery pack RBC1 or on the internal battery slot of UPS. If the fault will follow where you install the BP1 RBC2, then this battery is truly being detected by the UPS as faulty.

Please note that if you're going to replace the RBC2, please make sure that the difference in age from other batteries is within 1 year only as we do not recommend mixing old and new batteries. You could still use your UPS as well if you're waiting for the replacement of battery pack 1 RBC2 and use the remaining battery packs since the batteries can be uninstalled while the UPS is on.

I am planning on doing this today. It is good to know about the young batteries and old batteries issue.
