I can get NUT to work with SNMPv3 MD5/DES, no problems.
When setting to SHA/AES NUT has problems. It does not seem to be a bug in AOS, using snmwalk I can veryfy that SHA/AES are working (although much slower than MD5/DES).
Has someone got it to work with SHA/AES with NUT? could you provide your ups.conf (without the passwords of course)?

I'm just suggesting that you're more likely to find people more familiar with their software on their forums and that PCNS is the officially supported alternative. Make of that what you will.

Hi Jongen,
Sorry, NUT is a third party software, I'd suggest you post on their forums but have you considered using our Powerchute Network Shutdown?

The compatibility matrix can be found here:
We also offer a pre-made VM for paid versions of ESX. PCNS can also trigger SSH scripts to connect to unsupported systems.

Of course it is a 3rd party software, but it supports APC UPS systems.
I understand that APC employees would not be able to help with that, but what about other users in the forum? Is APC moderating topics away, if they are relevant but not solely related to an APC product, but relevant to an APC product?
