We have a number of different UPS' on site and are looking at setting up SNMP monitoring. A number of the devices are unable to report back information back to the SNMP console (Zenoss) where as some (the same model UPS) are able to. These devices have the same management card (AP9617) and same AOS (v3.7.3) and APP (v3.7.2). The only difference i can see between the devices is that under UPS>About, the UPS' are showing different firmware versions. It appears that the devices with firmware revision 666.6.I are communicating with zenoss correctly, but UPS with firmware revision 92.14.I are giving errors.
Is it possible to upgrade this firmware at all? or has anybody come across this issue in the past

ok, yes output current is only supported on certain models. if you see a value like that via the web UI for example though, generally you'd get it via SNMP. i assume for the one UPS you also don't see output current listed in the web UI? i know the smaller VA units, like a 750VA don't support that value either.
also, is one of your units black in color and one beige? you might have different generations of units so they are not similar even though the descriptions are the same.

what OIDs are reporting incorrectly? unfortunately, those UPS models are not firmware upgradable but i'd like to know what OIDs are giving you trouble and what they are responding with that is incorrect.

I suspected as much with regards to upgrading the firmware.
The following is one of the errors zenoss is reporting:
Error reading value for "outputCurrent" on IP ADDRESS (oid .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.4.2.4.0 is bad)
