Hi
We have SMX3000HV with 2 SMX120BP external batteries and NMC AP9630 hv.rev.05
Firmware: SMX3000HV-UPS 07.4 (ID1003), AP9630-App.Module: v6.2.1, AOS: v6.2.1, Boot mon.:v1.0.8
SMX3000HV detects number of external batteries automatically. The value in NMC web page for our configuration is displayed correctly.
The problem is, that we need to read this value using SNMP v1.
We tried to read 'upsAdvBatteryNumOfBattPacks' and 'upsAdvConfigNumExternalBatteries', but the answer was:
Error in packet
Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB.
How we can read num. of connected external batteries using SNMP ?
Thank you

Hello,
upsAdvBatteryNumOfBattPacks should work and we filed a bug on this previously since as you found, it is not working for SMX. It should be fixed in the next version of firmware for the AP9630, tentatively available late this year - v6.3.X.
I don't think upsAdvConfigNumExternalBatteries is supported by this UPS since it automatically detects the connected battery packs. This is for older UPSs that don't support that and where the user needs to tell it how many are connected, such as with SURT models.
In the meantime, I don't have an answer to get this via SNMP until we fix it
