This is my old UPS, it is still in use and working fine (had one set of replacement batteries), I've had it since 2011 and have had to replace it's primary duties with a new SMC1500IC model to cover the increased power needs of my IT equipment.
As the new unit has SmartConnect, I'm wondering if there's any such interface for the older SMT750I, even if it is just on the local network. I have never had need to perform a firmware update and would rather not as it's working fine as it is, just wondering if there's any way to monitor the unit as I can the new SMC1500IC model.
The 750 has a network socket however it doesn't seem to be active when plugged in (I've never used it), I've only ever used the USB connection for automated equipment shutdown. I would check the manual but I'm not sure where it is, and I can only find manuals for the newer models on the APC website.

Hi,
The SMT750i does not have a network connection and is not compatible with SmartConnect. On the back of the UPS, there are 2 data port connections. USB and RJ50. The RJ50 is designed to work with our 9 pin serial to RJ50 cable, part number 940-0625.
