SMT 750 connected to Lenovo server/Win2022 loses connection out of the blue after weeks of operation and no change.
On two different setups with one 750 connected to a machine running ParaChute Client the client suddenly out of the blue - after weeks of successful operation - reports communication lost. We have tried to disconnect and reconnect, reinstall Powerchute and restart machine to no avail. If I connect the UPS via USB to a PC it says 'device not recognized' if I connect same PC to another working 750 it says "APC Smartups... connected". I have not tried to restart UPS.

Long term fix relating to this specific problem is to use the supplied RJ50 -> RS-232 Serial cable that came with the unit to the server.
Interim break fix is to disable all power management relating to Power Chute Software.
NOTE: It has been reported disabling (Green Mode) may also help prevent this issue. Historically, doing so hasn’t fixed this problem but give it a try!
