I have a 7-year old, or so, SMT 1500C. It has worked flawlessly, until yesterday. No output, continuous beep and LCD shows error B.04.
I know error codes are not public. What I would like to know is whether this is something that can be sent to APC to fix or I just trash the Smart UPS.
Thank you.

Hi Jose -
Unfortunately we do not offer out of warranty repair services. I would advise resetting the UPS via the "Brain Dead" procedure to see if it clears the event. To "brain dead": Turn off the UPS, un plug from wall, disconnect the internal battery. You can then reconnect the battery and plug the UPS back in. If the issue is resolved when you turn the UPS back on it was an erroneous message.
Thanks
Liam

Does this mean the unit is not any good then. I saw that that error was a charging issue.
Is there a way to see if it is under warranty?
