SMART UPS with both cable and serial connection

Hi everybody
it's possible to have a smart ups monitored by two agent via USB and via serial cable?
I've a SmartUPS controlling a linux server on which I've installed the PCBE agent and a netgear NAS that recognize the UPS byitself
I'd like to connect the NAS via usb cable and linux server via serial cable. is it possible?

which model Smart UPS? On the SUA units, you cannot do that - only one or the other - on the SMT/SMX units you can probably do that without issue.

the model it's a SMT1500i
I've the usb connection to a Netgear Nas and I'd like to connect a linux server via serial cable

note that we don't test or recommend that but i think that on an SMT unit, it will work.

Also note that on the serially connected Linux system, you'll need to install PowerChute Business Edition for Linux. Third party software will work with the USB interface but not the serial interface.
