Greetings gents,
I have A SMART-UPS RT 3000 Model: SURTA3000XL-BR (100-120v). I left it not running for 3 months, When I connect it to the power it keeps beep once every 3 sec, and when I press the power on button, not lights, I tried to make a cold start by disconnecting the power cable and try to turn on again without success. no lights at all.
What do you think the problem is?

I measured the 2 Batteries, one battery is giving 39 and the other one is giving 40 VDC. Looks like the batteries are failed

Hi Waleed,
Before leaving the unit disconnected for a period of time, did you disconnect the internal batteries? If not, the internal batteries may be drained beyond the point of recovery. If the battery voltage is too low, the UPS will not detect the batteries and you may receive a single beep once every 2-3sec. I would expect to receive a flashing indicator from the Battery Disconnect/Replace Battery LED during this indicator as well. The fact that you see no activity on the LCD may be a sign of an internal issue. I would recommend verifying the internal batteries are actually connected and leave the unit plugged into to good working utility power for a 24hr period prior to trying again.

Hi Secret Squirre
Thank you very much for your quick response. Unfortunately I didn't disconnect the batteries before I leave the unit. I just shut the unit down for the O button. I will try to measure the batteries, but what is the minimum voltage I should read to make sure the battery still ok?
Thanks a lot for your help

Anything approx. 85vdc or less per battery string would be undetectable by the unit.

Battery voltage is too low so the unit will not start. You should order a replacement battery cartridge now if that hasn’t been done especially if they are more than three years old. If you need the unit to operate (temporarily) you can remove the individual cells and recharge them on a dedicated charger.
Once they are fully charged you can rewire the entire pack. You should see no less than 120 VDC once the entire string is wired correctly. ☝️
This will allow the unit to start up correctly.
NOTE: If you leave the entire pack to sit and rest for 24-72 hours (after being fully charged) and you see the voltage drop at a steady rate. This indicates one or more cells are bad inside. This cartridge should be replaced entirely to insure the expected runtime is seen.
