I have an UPS with model number SRV3kri-e.
I purchased a Modbus card, SRVSMB001, to read data from the card —how can I read it? I have inserted the Modbus card into the intelligent slot and connected it to my PC using an RJ45 cable—what can I use to read it, and what steps should I take?
Does it need a firmware update?

Hello,
There is a separate Modbus card available for SRV UPS. This must be configured before use.
See the Modbus Card Installation Manual (EN 990-9286) for steps to configure the below settings.
1. ID = 9 (bits 1 and 4 are OFF on SW1)
2. Baud rate = 9600 (bit 1 is OFF and bit 2 is ON on SW2)
3. Parity check = No parity check, 1 stop bits (bit 3 is ON and bit 4 is OFF on SW2)
4. RS485 Resistance Configuration = Enable (bits 5, 6, 7, and 8 are ON on SW2)
The below manual explains how to connect the Modbus card to your presonal computer on page 5 then install the SNMP monitoring software to configure the modbus settings and view the modbus device
The modbus register map are as follows :
No need to update the firmware for this card
Regard,
Karim
