Question about management software on SURTD5000XLI with AP9631

Hi,

I have 5 servers and one ups APC Smart-UPS RT 5000 SURTD5000XLI with management card AP9631. I would like to ask how to properly configure management on servers?

UPS is connected to LAN, no connection by serial or usb to servers. I tried to install Powerchute Bussines but agents probably work only with directly usb connection, I don't know how install agents to managed by LAN? So what should be properly configuration and how to do this? Do you know maybe any other software to monitor and manage my apc ups?

Hi,

You should use PowerChute Network Shutdown (PCNS). You install PCNS on each server and configure PCNS to monitor the AP9631 that is in the SURT5000. When the AP9631 reports an issue PCNS will react to it depending on how you have configured the event actions.
