I have a query over the wiring and internal configuration settings in an MGE Galaxy 5000 40kVA UPS.
The UPS is wired as per the diagram ‘UPS units with common normal and Bypass AC inputs’, however in the config file supplied with the UPS there is a line which says...
AC Normal and AC Bypass : Separate { Common; Separate }
...what impact does this setting have when the physical wiring input is actually different to this config setting, if any?
I'm asking as there have been odd goings on downstream of the UPS (PSU tripping out etc.) just want to include or exclude from the list of things to be checked/rectified.

An update, I spoke with a UPS engineer at a trade show today - they tell me the setting does not impact the UPS operation but is used to correctly draw the display to match the physical input.
