Hi All,
I have two Smart UPS 5000 RM with Network Management cards installed, I can browse to both cards through a web browser with no issues.
When I install the PowerShute Buisness edition software (latest version) it does not discover either of the devices, the server I have installed the software on is on the same subnet as the devices - see below. When I manually enter the IP addresses of the UPS devices it still says it cannot discover them.
What am I doing wrong? I have installed the PowerShute software on both a x64 Windows 2008 R2 and x64 Win 7 SP1 machines with the same result.
UPS IP #1: 10.7.100.241/16
UPS IP #2: 10.7.100.242/16
Server IP: 10.7.100.6/16
Telnet and HTTP connections to the management cards are fine...
Thanks
K

If you're using a network management card, you do not use Powerchute network shutdown. Powerchute business edition communicates over usb or serial where as a network management card communicates over the network. You would need to download powerchute network shutdown if you would like to gracefully shutdown your servers. This can be downloaded from our website under software/firmware
