I have had a ES 700 for a number of years and had powerchute installed. Some time ago it stopped communication with my PC. I uninstalled the software and now it will not reinstall. It hangs and status is "Disabling Windows Native Power Management" Any help is appreciated. System is windows 10.
I found a FAQ Solution:
To view the drivers go to Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Batteries. There you should see either HID UPS Battery or APC UPS. Also in Device Manger go to Human Interface Devices and there you should see American Power Conversion USB UPS
I have the batteries: APC UPS but not the Human Interface Device entry.

Hi,
if the driver is missing that indicates corruption within the OS. When PowerChute is installed it activates the drivers it does not install them. The drivers are included within the OS and are loaded when the OS is installed.
You may be able to recover by restoring the OS back to a known good state.
See Microsoft recovery option for assistance.
