Hi there, I recently purchased a Back-ups ES 700 to power my PC with 300W power supply (no video card), my monitor (25 W) and TV (65W). After 2 days of charge, i'm setting up last version of PowerChute Pro Edition 3.0.2. The problem came when i thested the PC shutdown would work (by switching off the mains supply). PowerChute popped up a box saying that it was going to hibernate the PC at about the correct time but then. So far so good. When I switch on main supply and ups start working on AC, after 1-2 minutes UPS restarts itself and everything shutdown and start over.
I notice that when the powerchute popped up and propose me to hibernate and i cancel it there is no problem when i switch on the main supply, there is no restart. Is that normal?
Note: Energy Management is off.

Hi,
Not with PowerChute however if you use the native power option the UPS will not be shutdown. See Schneider Electric FAQ FA159653 or another option is to run APCUPSD.

Hi,
When PowerChute start the shutdown / hibernation process on the OS it also sends a shutdown command to the UPS. The UPS waits 2 minutes and then power down. If AC is restored during the 2 minute delay the UPS will continue the count down and power down and then back on within a few seconds. What you are seeing is normal behaviour. The UPS is commanded down to allow it to power back on when AC is restored. It must complete the power down cycle.
