I have a small i7+SSD machine running lubuntu which I would like to protect with an orderly shutdown on mains failure from an APC UPS when around 5 minutes of battery life remains. I see that APC Back-UPS 700VA 230v AVR offers APC's Powerchute via USB but will this work with lubuntu?
I have had a faily deep search but can't find recent post (posts from 2011 suggest that it is not possible but maybe things have improved since then). I'll welcome any info at all regarding APC and Linux - Thanks a million - AW
