Welcome everyone.
I have two servers connected to one UPS, Smart 2200, both Windows Server 2012 R2 with all upgrades.
UPS power usage is about 9%, I believe it is enough.
Due to fact that the only solution APC offers in that situation is to buy additional network card (very expensive) I looked for other solutions.
I found brilliant solution to use CMD script to send shutdown command to second server via network, APC agent enables to execute CMD script via agent.
So I created script using: @START "" "c:\Windows\system32\shutdown.exe" /s /t 10 /m \\10.0.0.9 as my remote shutdown command.
Here comes funny part, both APC agent and server service logged as Admin with correct pass, all user/pass are correct on both servers.
Running "TEST" from config page gives NO effect, but running script from windows shell CORECTLY closes remote server.
Seems to me that agent have problems passing commands to remote computers.
Found some comments on net that this solution works on earlier operating systems.
Please analyze and explain.
Best Regards.
Mike
P.S. For all of You that may have doubts, of course I am using newest available 9.2 software.
Also it is shameful that great American company sold itself and is not APC anymore.

Unfortunately even with administrator privileges Microsoft limits service's ability to interact with the desktop. Here's one person's workaround (link).

Hi,
Most likely the issue is with the permissions of the PowerChute Agent. See Schneider Electric FAQ FA159586

Welcome again.
APC Agent uses "Administrator" account to start/login , so I think all needed permissions are granted.
Once again, CMD file run in windows shell (also from Administrator account) executes correctly.
Run via TEST button from from APC Agent config page does nothing.
Also starting shutdown procedure does not execute cmd file.
What else can I check or do ?
BR
Mike
