Hi,
I'd like to have more information how to configure PCNS with 2 UPS connected to 2 Esxi hosts.
I chose the Advanced UPS configuration because 1 UPS is connected to 1 Esxi host in 2 sites.
The hosts are in the same cluster, Datacore is installed as HCI.
I used VM priorization to migrate the vms if 1 site is down.
Yesterday i did a shutdown test in one site to ceck the configuration.
I had the following message
"Unable to find a suitable host to migrate vms from host"
I don't understand why i received the same message for the 2 hosts while just one site was with the UPS in battery.
I closed the shutdown test by enabling the electricity in the site where i did the test.
After 20 minutes all vms on the 2 sites were shut downed by Powerchute. (Datacore servers were not shut down, don't know why)
Can you help me to understand what was wrong ?
Thanks,

@Anonymous user
If you look in the PowerChute debug log I anticipate you will see something like:
VM migration error message: The target host does not support the virtual machine's current hardware requirements.
VM migration error message: The virtual machine requires hardware features that are unsupported or disabled on the target host:
* AES instructions (AES-NI) (see KB 1034926)
If possible, use a cluster with Enhanced vMotion Compatibility (EVC) enabled; see KB article 1003212.
The Kbase articles referenced are VMware documents.
As for the Datacore systems, you should review the error log and debug log to determine why them may not have shutdown. If you installed the PowerChute virtual appliance those logs will be found in /opt/APC/PowerChute/group1
