I have just migrated servers from Windows 2003 Small Business Server to Windows 2008 Small Business Server.
Email notification worked on 2003 (using Exchange 2003) but fails on 2008 (using Exchange 2007). It even works if it change the server name back to the old server which is still running.
Does anyone know how to configure Exchange 2007 to accept emails from Powerchute Business Edition.
The UPS is plugged into the Small Business Server.

Michael,
Sorry for the delay in responding to your last post. I have not tested the PCBE software with Exchange 2007 for email notification. I hope that other forum members who experienced this issue can help you out to fix the issue.

I've tried both 7.x and 8.x with same result. Your compatibility chart makes no mention of Exchange 2007.

correct me if i am wrong but the only difference is the SMTP server that you want PCBE to use in order to send email to your recipients, correct?
if so, does your new email server require authentication? powerchute business edition does not support SMTP authentication yet. how are you testing to make sure the email is being sent (if my understanding is correct)?
have you tried to make sure its not a DNS issue or anything and tried the IP address of your new mail server, etc?
the only other scenario you may me mean here is if you installed PCBE on your actual mail server to have a graceful shutdown on there?
