Powerchute 9.2 with SMC1000C

Hi,

We are longtime owners of a SUA750 and happy with the PowerChute 9.2 software.

We recently purchased a new server and got a SMC1000C to go with it.

We are not happy at all with the PowerChute 9.5 software. It seems stripped down with many missing features.

Is it at all possible to get 9.2 to work with the SMC1000C? The problem is, it does not recognize the UPS with a USB connection. But for awhile there before I uninstalled 9.5, I think I got it to recognize it.

Is it a driver issue? Would it work with the COM port? Where do I get the serial cable?

Please advise how it is possible to get 9.2 working with the SMC1000C.

Hi,

When switching from a SUA Smart-UPS to a SMC Smart-UPS you need to uninstall PowerChute Business Edition and then reinstall. You will find PowerChute 9.2.1 that is compatible with a SMC attached to Schneider Electric FAQ FA304446

But the page at https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA304446/ does not seem to have a working download link for v9.2.1.

There is a link to https://schneider-electric.box.com/s/awndxfb6iw2dqebqf9hkc5rl7tqolnze but that opens up to a blank page (in Firefox 64).

What is the correct download link for v9.2.1 for Windows?

Hi,

Works for me with FF. I did have to accept the security certificate and once that was done I see download available in the upper right as there is no preview since the file is a .exe
