I have a bad power module (Off & Failed) on my Symmetra LX 16000 RM
Before replacing the power module, is it necessary to put the UPS in bypass?
I know they say hot swappable, but you know how it is...

Hi Walter
If the power module is faulty then you obviously have enough power capacity for your load without it, so it will be fine to swap out without going into bypass.
For your own piece of mind the extra few seconds it takes to go into command bypass and then maintenance bypass, is never a bad idea, but it isn't necessary.
Regards
Matt
