PowerShute Business & Back-UPS XS

Hi,
I bought a Back-UPS XS 1300 LCD from the store and I can't find any mention of XS Series in the APC site.

Does anyone know the XS series are supported by PowerShute Business or not?

the XS series is a retail only family. the model number can still be brought up on our website if you search for it - this particular model is BX1300LCD. The XS series is comparable to the RS series you see on the website by browsing

Any Back UPS product uses Powerchute Personal Edition rather than Powerchute Business Edition.

are you looking for a specific feature of business edition?

I am looking for the logging function of the Business edition. The personal edition doesn't seem to log the time of power problem except the last.
I want to keep track of the time the UPS was intervened.

ok..

either you'd have to get a Smart UPS OR another solution, even though its not really recommended is to obtain a 940-0128D RJ-45 to USB cable to use with the Back UPS and Powerchute BUT the only issue is, it can only tell you if its "On battery" or "online." It is simple signaling so you wont see any voltage readings, runtime, etc. It will keep a log though saying when the UPS was "online" or "on battery." Unfortunately, there is a lot of reduced functionality as far as monitoring goes but you will get you want with the logging. For that reason, I dont recommend it but it is an option if you must have it.
