PowerChute-network shutdown v.2.2.4 W7 <-> NMC2 AP9630 Cannot communicate..

Hello

On my rack mouted UPS I've installed NMC2 AP9630, next I've trayed to install on W7 station /test/ a soft PowerChute-network shutdown v.2.2.4.
During the instalation I recived the next information window "Cannont comunicate with Management Card" and "Sendind registation to MC, Registation results: Security information did not match information at IP my NMC.

any known reasone?

configuration done:
NMC web interface:
1. UPS/Power Chute/configuration -> 19 chars auth phase
2. UPS/Power Chute/clients-> no vizible any IP

PowerChute-Network shutdown W7 instllation:
1. put IP MNC, etc plus authentication Phrase the same like in point 1 "19 chars auth phase"

Symptoms:
1. PowerChute-Network shutdown cannot communitae with NMC2
2. On PowerChute-Network shutdown no seen any ini file
3. wireshark on W7 shows only http convesation between PowerChute-Network shutdown and NMC2

Q1. any idea what is wrong configured?
Q2. PowerChute-Network shutdown and NMC must be on the same subnet? communication by bradcast?

regards Piter

Thx for advice

Now is working fine, after reset PNMC back to default settingd, pass the communication

REASONE my investigation:
You can't change the Administrator user name, must use apc; password can change not administrator name!

can you just try leaving the auth phrase at default to see if it installs - the default is admin user phrase - is there a reason you changed it? just for security? it must be 15-32 alphanumeric characters so i'd think what you have is fine. if you can just reset it back to default, change it on the NMC and make sure to press apply and then try to use it when you install. also, the username you use must be the same as the administrator username on the NMC. the password can be different.

also, what firmware is on the NMC? this can be found on the administration tab->general->About

the NMC can send unicast messages across different subnets and those PCNS clients will rebroadcast it on their subnet.
